I searched the web for replacement LED bulbs because 1 of my bulbs went dark after in less than 3 years time. When I returned to my original installer, I was met with a new owner who took my car into their shop within 5 minutes. After about 5 minutes, their technician located the new owner and advised that the bulb has burnt out. I must say that I was surprised. I asked the new owner about the warranty of said LED bulbs and he advised that it was for a year. He also informed me that they could replace the single bulb for $100. I wanted to break out into laughter. I declined, tipped the mechanic, and jumped on the Internet looking for LED bulb replacements. I wasn't going to change just 1.
LED light street came up as a match and both bulbs cost was roughly $70 with a lifetime warranty. I immediately made the purchase and then noticed that my email acknowledgement did not mention the lifetime warranty, so I started to feel uneasy. I emailed their customer service link and heard back from a live person in less than 15 minutes. That really impressed me and the that person assured me in writing that the bulbs do come with a lifetime warranty, even though it wasn't mentioned in the order confirmation. I saved the email and replaced the bulbs myself this time. Keep it in mind that the bulbs are DC powered, so the positive female side of the harness needs to be joined with the positive male counterpart and vice versa for the negative side. When I swapped out the bulbs, my driver's side bulb did not light up, but the passenger's side did. Basically the same issue as the original problem that made me buy replacements. I was about to start checking for a short when I noticed the positive and negative symbol on my harness. I flipped the connector and the bulb lit up. I was relieved.
The bulbs have remained lit thus far and I am pleased. I hope they will last a lifetime or at least for the time period I own my SUV. But, if a bulb burns out, I have the proof that I am covered.
Thank you for the great customer service. I would recommend that an instruction be added advising customer's of the polarity consideration when installing, since in my case the female harness can be connected to the male counterpart both ways, matching polarity or opposite polarity.
